Foster Care

Families helping families -- this is what foster care is all about. CFSA's foster care services protect children and their parents by providing a caring family experience in an agency-approved, licensed home for a planned, temporary period of time. This family experience should be supplemental to, and not a substitute for, the birth family.

The primary goal of foster care is to reunite children with their birth families whenever possible. If this cannot happen, CFSA will institute other permanent plans. Foster parents receive monthly stipends based on the age and needs of the child.
